I have taken three intermediate creative writing courses with Ines Rodrigues and what I learned in her class was invaluable. It gave me the building blocks to write four mystery books, all of which have been published.

I had the opportunity to participate in the Beginner Novel Generator course with Ines Rodrigues at Sarah Lawrence College in summer 2025, coming from a scientific and technical writing background and eager to grow as a storyteller. Ines fostered a thoughtful, welcoming environment that balanced learning the fundamentals of fiction with putting them into practice, supported by generous feedback from both her and the cohort. The course meaningfully strengthened my confidence in narrative, character, and sense of place. Its impact continues through a writers’ group that grew out of the class, with Ines graciously staying connected and offering guidance.
