At The Writing Institute I first saw myself as a poet. Elaine Sexton encouraged me to experiment with forms I would not have tried, and helped me collect a group of poems to form my first chapbook.
I continue to rely on and work with Elaine Sexton to this day. She is one of the most generous and inspiring teachers I have known.
