Middlescence (Noun) /mɪd.əˈles.əns/

Middlescence is the idea that adults in middle age have a second adolescence, marked by an appetite for new meaning, increased curiosity and a creative approach to what's next.   Hosted by The Writing Institute and The Center for Midlife & Meaning at Sarah Lawrence College, Middlescence Fest honors this journey by creating meaningful discussions, moments of connection and inspiration for readers and intellectuals later in life.  In addition to rigorous panel discussions with contemporary authors and thought leaders, participants will enjoy curated experiences to foster new connections and fun.

Enjoy panels on topics such as The Coming of Age Novel Grows Up, Menopause & Creativity, The Art of the Grief Memoir, Debut Authors Over 50 and more

Meet and mingle with likeminded readers, peers who embrace middle age and creatives who are curious about what comes next

Join us on the historic Sarah Lawrence College campus in Bronxville, NY, a beautiful backdrop for a weekend of serious fun
